Now that is sorted I've managed to get ACoK 1.11 working and Brytenwalda is now happily waiting on the main menu, I just hadn't backtracked far enough while troubleshooting. It turns out that the problem was how the main client was loading. Once I started looking into this instead of problems with the mods I found this thread on here ( ) suggesting changing the rgl_confic file name in documents/mount&blade to 'rgl_confic_bad' which has worked:D. I tried to load the native game with 'load textures on demand' and found that it was crashing straight away. TL:DR do mods not work with 1.158 yet or am I just useless at installing them? I've managed to get somewhere now. I'm inda expecting to just get links here to the Telltale Games forums but I would like to point out that I'm asking here because I've always found the Steam community to be a great source of info when stuff goes wrong (that and all I keep finding over there is the same information every time). In terms of making it work the nearest I can get without changing any settings to which it freezes and crashes while loading when it gets to 'loading settings data', if I follow the other instructions and change it to pre-load textures it just crashes as soon as I hit play (as do the other mods). As far as game version goes it seems to indicate that the lastest version works with 1.157/1.158.īrytenwalda, ACoK and lots other certainly works with 1.158, no idea whats going wrong for you but its not the warband version.

It could be something simple like I'm misunderstood installation details or version requirements but to use the Brytenwalda mod for example I've tried 4 different installation and trouble shooting guides on severel forums and from what I understand it should be working. I've tried to install a couple like the Brytenwalda, A Clash of Kings and even simple ones like Diplomacy but I don't seem to be get anything to work other than Native. What I'm after is info on working mods for the current version.
First up I appologise if this has been asked already, I looked around but don't seem to be able to find what I'm looking for:/.
